On the first day that the sun came out since I have been in Taipei, Sarah confirmed that she will come to visit me next week! That totally made my day.
Spend the last days sitting in courses, which I liked and some which I didn’t and some for which the professor didn’t show up.
And yesterday morning I got up at 4:30 to buy a second hand bike. Apparently some people slept in front of the store because I was only the 44th… I got a bike, too, although it’s made for dwarfs – or for Taiwanese people.
That night, I went to the infamous ‘toilet restaurant’ of Taipei. Lot’s of fun but not the best food – or was it the context that made it taste so bad?
Lastly, I was woken up in the middle of the night by a totally drunk guy who mistook my bed for his and was crawling under my blanket while I was sleeping… HOW drunk can you be?
Alex, me, Xenia and Iri soaking up the rays.
The library!
A view down the palm drive in front of the library.
Ximen, THE pedestrian zone in Taipei. And the Times Square of it, too.
Tasteless but funny…
That’s us (5 Americans, 1 Czech and 2 Germans).
Amazing portrait-cutter, although most of them did look alike.
